Skirts can be more fun than you think.
At its simplest, a skirt can be a draped garment made out of a single piece of fabric, like a Sarong. However, most skirts are fitted to the body at the waist or hips and fuller below, with the fullness introduced by means of darts, gores, pleats, or panels. Modern skirts are usually made of light to mid-weight fabrics, such as denim, jersey, worsted, or poplin. Skirts of thin or clingy fabrics are often worn with slips or are made with lining, to make the material of the skirt drape better.
Skirts are great to be both comfortable and make a style statement, with that touch of flirty. Whether it be a smart choice for work or a casual choice for a night out. I have fun with skirts, matching a black fitted leather and lycra, below the knee length skirt with a white and orange stripped shirt, which is tucked in, finished with a pair of black heels. Another favourite is a skater skirt, which I have in different colours, matched with shirts and tops. But the ultimate is a pleated silk skirt, high waist and just above the knee, which is both flirty and smart, and can be worn to work or a night out, with the appropriate top.
Have skirty flirty fun!
